Consultant - Java Developer

Essential functions of a Consultant at Deloitte Consulting:

A Consultant at Deloitte functions as an integrator between business needs and technology solutions, helping to create technology solutions to meet clients' business needs. A Consultant gains exposure to multiple industries while demonstrating an awareness of the full breadth of services offered by Deloitte Consulting LLP. Responsibilities include defining systems strategy, developing system requirements, designing, prototyping, and testing custom technology solutions, and supporting system implementation.

Required Skills:

· 2 years of relevant consulting or industry experience

· A minimum of 1 full life cycle implementation

· 1+ years' experience in software development in Java

· 1+ years' experience in applied unit testing, mock interfaces and synthetic data

· 2+ years' experience writing database access code

· Applied experience in daily software quality control such as validating source code documentation and software quality control and reporting

· Familiar with tools for software quality management such as CheckStyle, JUnit, JavaDoc, JDepend

· A willingness to travel up to 25% of the time

· A Bachelor's Degree

· Must be eligible to obtain US government security clearance

Desired:

· Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments

· Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint)

· Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
