Major accountabilities &
responsibilities & Job Description:
The person must possess the
self confidence in his / her technical abilities to perform day to day Storage
administration as well as troubleshoot production issues:

Skills: Knowledge and practical experience of: Mandatory knowledge and Hands-on
Basic Storage Allocation
knowledge on EMC Symmetrix and CLARiiON
Basic knowledge of anyone FC
(Fibre Channel) Switch technology: o Brocade o Mcdata o Cisco Understanding of
storage architecture
Basic knowledge of multi-path
software
Operating system command
exposure (Unix and Wintel for limited administration purposes) Basic knowledge
of SAN storage best practice Preferred Knowledge:
Basic knowledge of SRDF
Basic knowledge of Timefinder

Its an added advantage if the
candidate has other Storage Skills like IBM, NetApp, Hitachi, HP Storage along
with the Primary skill of EMC.
Involves researching,
developing, innovating and delivering effective and consistent solutions to
support the infrastructure systems ensuring the application of current and
emerging technologies Experience
Essential Engineering or
equivalent degree;
Relevant working experience of
3-5 years in Infrastructure Management;
Established OS Support skills
including fault diagnosis and fix; Experience of hardware fault diagnosis on
HP, Compaq or IBM Intel based technology;
Working knowledge of networking
principles including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP. Experience Desirable
Certified MCP in Server
technologies;
Various Microsoft applications
including Exchange 2003 / 2007,.2010 IIS, MOM, SCOM , WSUS, SMS, ADS; or
AIX/Linux/HPUX/Solaris N or N-1 versions;
Working knowledge of Directory
/ Domains; Knowledge of EARS. Personal Qualities
