System Analyst

Responsibilities:
- Must have experience in Media or Video environment.
- Develop multi-year product roadmaps working with senior management, product owners, project managers, system engineers and architects
- Identify, assess and present the pros and cons of possible strategies and delivery options to senior management
- Document and re-engineer business, system and organizational processes and procedures
- Document and analyze current state and design future state process to addresses the improvement opportunities identified in the current process
- Assess current technical environment and develop technology requirements and conceptual solutions to meet business objectives.
- Act as a primary point for Engineering Project Management office for Intake phase for all projects which includes guiding the initial analysis and assessment of proposed projects, requirement analysis, high level system and architectural design, identifying impacting subsystems and high level cost for each project
- Facilitate and manage the yearly annual planning effort which entails in taking approximately 150 projects over nine weeks
- Partner with business stakeholders to review, understand and document detailed business requirements.
- Convert business requirements into functional specifications, use cases, high level system and architectural design
- Research emerging trends and technologies
- Assist management with financial planning by conforming the reports to specific needs of the group, driving accuracy to forecasts by analyzing and monitoring the trend on actual spent for each project
- Drive resource planning initiative by analyzing the short and long term resourcing needs for the group based on the workload, current resource allocation, in-flight projects and approved future projects
Qualifications
- 7+ years relevant experience as an analyst in a fast paced environment required
- Comfortable working with all levels of client organizations – from the executive suite to the front line, and are equally comfortable working independently
- Broad skills in gathering and analyzing data, analyzing and solving complex business problems, writing and presenting, facilitating and coaching.
- Experience in Business Systems Analysis, Requirements Elaboration and high-level architectural designs
- Understanding of software development methodologies and structured approaches to system development is required
- Leadership qualities, including ability to facilitate discussions with diverse and cross-functional groups, time management, organizational and negotiation skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with the ability to adapt and change priorities as the business needs change
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to tailor communication to the target audience to achieve desired results
- Understanding of latest trends and technologies including mobile based applications preferred
- Demonstrated success in working effectively with Program Management, cross-functional teams and senior management
- Experience in Media and Entertainment is a plus
